Privacy policy
Last updated 3 September 2026.
This policy covers interviewpractice.co. It is written in plain English on purpose. If anything here is unclear, write to [email protected] and ask.
What we collect
Nothing, until you sign up. You can read every guide and take the free practice run without an account and without giving us anything.
When you create an account, our sign-in provider Clerk stores your email address and your name. If you sign up with Google, Google passes us your name, your email address and your profile picture, and nothing else. We never see or receive your Google password.
Our host, Cloudflare, keeps short-lived server logs that include IP addresses, as every web server does. We use them to keep the site up and to stop abuse.
We use PostHog to count page views and see which guides people find useful. It records the pages visited, the country, and the browser type. We do not use it to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell or share this data with advertisers.
PostHog also records a replay of how pages are used, meaning your clicks, your scrolling and where your mouse goes, so we can see where a page confuses people. Everything you type is hidden. Every form field is masked before the recording leaves your browser, so the replay never contains your email address, your password, or anything you write into a practice answer.
The AI mock interview
If you use the AI mock, the text you paste in (your resume, the job description) and the answers you type are sent to OpenRouter, which passes them to the AI model that writes your questions and feedback. This is the only way the feature can work. We do not store that text, and we do not write it to our logs. Our providers do not use it to train models.
Paste only what you are comfortable sending. If your resume contains a home address or a date of birth, remove it first. You do not need it for the mock.
Who we share it with
| Company | What they do for us | What they see |
|---|---|---|
| Clerk | Runs sign-up and sign-in | Your name and email address |
| Resend | Sends the emails we send you | Your email address |
| Cloudflare | Hosts and serves the site | Server logs, including IP address |
| PostHog | Counts page views and records how pages are used | Pages viewed, country, browser, and a replay of your clicks and scrolling with every form field hidden |
| OpenRouter | Runs the AI mock interview | Resume, job description and answer text, while the request is in flight |
That is the complete list. We do not sell personal data, and we have never shared it with an advertising network.
Data from Google
What we receive from your Google account is used only to create and run your account here. We do not transfer it to anyone else except the providers in the table above, we do not use it for advertising, and no human at Interview Practice reads it except to answer a support request you send us.
Cookies
Clerk sets a cookie to keep you signed in. PostHog sets a first-party cookie so a returning visitor is not counted twice. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this site.
How long we keep it
Your account data stays until you delete your account or ask us to. Server logs are kept for a matter of days. Analytics data is kept for up to twelve months.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it and close your account. Write to [email protected] and we will do it within thirty days. You do not have to give a reason. If you are in the UK or the EU, you also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing does not delete your account, so tell us if you want both.
Children
This site is for people applying for jobs. It is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will change the date at the top and email anyone with an account.
